Happy Hummus

Hummus is always a crowd pleaser at any gathering. This hummus looks so festive and brightens up any table. There are so many health benefits from hummus: It is great for bones & skin health, alleviates anemia, lowers cholesterol, high in antioxidants and the chickpeas help prevent cancer.

Bonus Tip: When making hummus I like to take the extra couple of minute and peel the chickpeas. The smoothness and creaminess of the hummus compliments all kinds of crackers, veggies and Mediterranean dishes.


  • 1 1/2 Cups canned Chickpeas / Garbanzo Beans, drained
  • 1/4 Cup Tahini (sesame paste)
  • 3 Tablespoons freshly squeezed Lemon Juice (2 lemons)
  • 4-5 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  • 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin


  1. Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blend till creamy.
  2. Then comes the fun part of how to present this dish. There are numerous ways to serve hummus, above is my suggestion. Please share some of your presentations!
