Cooking with Isabella: Green Beans and Seared Sesame Covered Salmon

Garlic green beans are an all time favorite in our house! We set them out on the counter and walk around eating them like a healthy version of chips. We thought it was just us, but seems to be an addiction that all the visitors to our house share. On top garlicky green beans a perfectly cooked piece of salmon is always a treat and especially we love it with sesame oil and seeds to add some asian flare.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Salmon
  • 1 Pound Green Beans
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Table spoon sesame oil
  • 1 Table spoon black sesame seeds
  • 1 Table spoon white sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce or soy glaze on top
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Green Beans
  2. Add green beans & water to pan
  3. Cover with lid and steam 4-5 min for water to evaporate
  4. Add cooking spray or oil to pan and let the green beans sizzle
  5. Add salt and then garlic toward the very end
  6. Salmon
  7. Put sesame seeds on a plate
  8. Put sesame oil on the pan
  9. Sprinkle a little salt on salmon
  10. Sear salmon 2-3 minutes on one side
  11. Flip the salmon, cover with lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes
  12. Leave salmon a little raw cause it will keep cooking once removed from heat
  13. Top with soy sauce or soy glaze and enjoy
